Birth Certificates

Certified copies of birth certificates can be obtained from the Town Clerk's Office. The birth had to have occurred in Topsfield and/or the parents had to have lived in the town at the time of the birth. The fee for a birth certificate is $5.00 per certified copy. Please include with your request the full birth name and the date of birth. A certified copy of the birth certificate can be obtained in person during business or by mail. Check or money order should be made payable to the Town of Topsfield.

Death Certificates

Certified copies of death certificates can be obtained from the Town Clerk's Office. The person’s death had have to occurred in Topsfield and/or s/he had to have lived here at the time of death. The fee for a death certificate is $10 per certified copy. Please include with your request the decedent’s full name and date of death. A certified copy of the death certificate can be obtained in person during business hours or by mail. Check or money order should be made payable to the Town of Topsfield.

Marriage Certificates

Certified copies of marriage certificates can also be obtained from the Town Clerk's The record of the marriage will be only here if the bride and groom filed the marriage intention (application) in the Town of Topsfield. The fee for a marriage certificate is $10 per certified copy. Please include with your request the bride’s maiden name and the groom’s surname as well as the date of the marriage. A certified copy of the marriage certificate can be obtained in person during business hours or by mail. Check or money order should be made payable to the Town of Topsfield.
