Assistant Town Clerk
Topsfield (pop. 6,388) seeks PT Assistant Town Clerk (19hrs) to
support the Town Clerk under the direction of the Selectmen. The
Assistant Town Clerk performs administrative & clerical duties,
including: Posting meeting agendas/minutes, Town calendars &
website updates; Coordinates public records requests; Maintains
voter/census data; Assists with elections, Town Meetings,
Annual Census, Street Listing; Registers, maintains & certifies
vital records; Issues local licenses/permits; Collects, records and
accounts for fees; Assists public with genealogical information/
research. Education: High School Diploma required, Associate
Degree preferred, BA highly desirable.
Experience: 2+ Years of directly related work experience or
3+ years in similar setting or related field; Town Clerk experience
preferred; Municipal experience highly advantageous.
