Friends of the Council on Aging
The Friends of the Council On Aging is a non- profit 501-3C organization devoted to raising money that supplements the COA's budget. This money goes directly to the programs and services that enhance the lives of Topsfield seniors. The Annual Membership drive is held in the spring. New members on the Friends are needed. For more details on membership or if you wish to volunteer to help the Friends, please contact Chris Roman at (978) 887-2193.
The Silver Tree Awards are sponsored by the Friends of the Council on Aging and are modeled after the state Silver Dove Awards. The awards are presented to outstanding volunteers who have provided service to the COA and to the seniors of Topsfield. The awards are usually presented each year at the Topsfield COA Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast.
The Friends of the Council on Aging each year provides the funding for the Annual Holiday Party held year in Danvers, in addition to free internet access at Little Brook Village Community Room and much more.
The next time you wish to honor a living or departed friend, or loved one, you may do so by sending a gift in any amount to "The Friends of the Topsfield Council on Aging". Friends and families of those you have honored will be notified by a gift card that will not show the amount. You will receive an acknowledgement card. The Living Memorial Fund will be used for services and programs to benefit seniors of Topsfield. Donations are welcome any time to support the Council on Aging's programs and services.
