- The Topsfield Historical Society's annual Strawberry Festival on the Common is a Topsfield tradition truly marking the beginning of Summer. Crafters specially chosen for their unique and high quality offerings occupy tents at one end of the Common. A large number of community groups have booths for informational and fund-raising purposes. Among the regular features are the Friends of the Library Book Sale and the Masco Soccer Team's games with prizes for children. Other groups represented at this year's Festival are the Congregational Church of Topsfield, the Friends of the Topsfield Council on Aging, Joyful Noises Pre-school, the League of Women Voters, the Masco Art Department Empty Bowl Project, Masco Special Needs, the New England Light Opera, New Meadows Garden Club, Pony Club, the Priscilla Capen Herb Society, the Committee to Elect Judith Judson, the Topsfield Garden Club, the Topsfield Grange, the Topsfield Main Street Foundation, Topsfield/Boxford Newcomers, Topsfield/Boxford/Middleton Rotary Club, Topsfield Stream Team and the Tri-Town Council.
- Hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, cold drinks are available. The featured treat is the Historical Society's home made strawberry shortcake in the Emerson Center Hall. Get your shortcake tickets early because they are in great demand!
